Had an Amazing Birthday lunch! I ordered the Italian Meatballs Sandwich and a French 75 it was so delicious! I The staff was very friendly and parking felt safe. I can't wait to come back for dinner!

Our server, Alan, was great-enthusiastic,accommodating,timely. We shared a New York pastrami sandwich($16) and fries. Busy lunch business. I liked that it was quiet, only the pleasant sound of people conversing. The bar is large and worth taking a gander.

The Cosmopolitan Tavern or "Cosmos" in Downtown Fresno is a solid spot for a satisfying lunch! I ordered the Philly cheese steak made with thin tri-tip, and it was fantastic--juicy, flavorful, and paired with a tangy BBQ sauce that added a nice twist. We also tried the onion rings and sweet potato waffle fries, which came with a light green aioli sauce that complemented them perfectly. The ambiance has a classic tavern feel, with a lively crowd that adds to the energy of the place. Just a heads up: this spot gets packed around lunchtime, so I'd recommend getting there early, around 11 a.m., to beat the crowd and avoid long wait times. Service was friendly and efficient, making the experience that much better. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Cosmopolitan Tavern for a great lunch in Fresno!

The meatball sandwich, $9.95 for a whole sandwich, was delicious and a great deal. The meatballs were well-seasoned, juicy, and tender. They were layered with melted mozzarella cheese and their zesty housemade marinara sauce. All sandwiches are prepared on French rolls from Max's Bakery. I loved the lightly toasted French roll's crunch, moistness, and freshness. Most of their sandwiches, hot or cold, are around $9.95 for a whole. Fresno's original Italian tavern and grill is still the gold standard for food taste, quality, and value.

One of my favorite lunch spots downtown. Yummy sandwiches. Great service. Nice ambiance. The current location is such an upgrade from the previous one.

The food was amazing BUT we had to pour our own wine!! We had the meatball rigatoni with pink sauce and chicken Marsala. Both plates were delicious. We bought a bottle of wine and our server, Elizabeth, opened the bottle but did not pour the first pour! We had to pour it! When she brought our plates, we purposely left our glasses empty and again she failed to pour our wine. The restaurant was not that busy. It's a great place for date night; quiet, dark and romantic just avoid this server.

My Tri tip half was about 2 inches smaller than the whole. My coworkers ordered the half but we literally put our sandwiches together and hers was slightly smaller. Not sure if my sandwich was just exceptionally big that day. All in all, it was delicious. The tri tip was thin sliced and lean. Would order again.

Cosmopolitan in Downtown Fresno, CA is one of the last iconic local restaurants in town! I've been coming here for years since it was on the other side of the railroad tracks near Chinatown! Sad to see it move because of Highspeed rail, But the new restaurant is beautiful and nice ambiance. Joe Lanfranco (Chef & Owner) did a great job tonight as he served filet and ravioli! The filet was so tender and juicy served a perfect temperature of medium- rare! I will repeat it was SO tender, I barely used my knife! Come in and support this Fresno Classic!!

I surprised my mom by taking her to the Fresno Philharmonic, which is held at William Saroyan Theatre. Before our show, I always like to come to the Cosmopolitan restaurant. The food is delicious. Our waiter was busy, so a nice helper named Melissa took care of us. She makes a wonderful server. She checked on us throughout the night. She took our order and made sure we were wonderful. I'm not sure why she isn't our server because she took our order and gave us our drinks gave us our bread packed our food, gave us our chech and kept checking in on us. I hope she gets the majority of our tip. I highly recommend coming here!
